On 03/24/2014 at approx. 1129 hrs. Pinch Fire was dispatched to Jarrett Heights Rd. in Elkview for a possible structure fire. Upon the first units arriving at the scene they found a single wide trailer that was fully involved engulfed in flames. Crews immediately went to work to begin to extinguish the blaze.

Due to the location of the residence, crews had to have water shuttled in while the fire was brought under control, and overhaul operations performed. Crews remained on scene for approx. two and a half hours after ensuring that all fire suppression and overhaul was completed.

Pinch Fire Dept, Clendenin Fire Dept, and Frame Fire Dept all responded along with assistance from KCEAA and Kanawha County Emergency Management. No injuries were reported and the residence was deemed to be a total loss.

Units: Engine 22, Engine 23, Utility 26

Mutual Aid: Clendenin VFD (Engine 12, Utility 16) Frame VFD (Engine 343) Kanawha County Emergency Management Unit 991
