By LIEUTENANT Jonathan Coleman
May 21, 2014

During the week of May 18-24 Pinch VFD is celebrating National EMS Week 2014. During this time Pinch VFD would like to take a moment to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to all of those who serve their communities in an EMS role. While Pinch VFD does not provide ambulance services nor patient transportation, we do have over a dozen ‘first-responders’ who voluntarily answer EMS alarms day and night throughout our communities. National EMS Week has been observed annually since it was first declared by President Gerald Ford in 1974, thus making 2014 the 40th Anniversary of the celebration.

Pinch VFD would like to recognize and thank our members who are not only firefighters, but serve in dual-roles as EMS professionals as well:

Chief David Wagoner, Paramedic

Assistant Chief Justin Teel, Paramedic

Captain Doug Douglas, Flight Nurse

Captain Mark Grimm, Paramedic

Lieutenant Jon Coleman, Flight Paramedic
