Late Night Vehicle Fire

On 06/12/2014 at approx. 0206 hrs. Pinch Fire Department was dispatched to the 1300 block of Rutledge Road for a reported vehicle fire. Upon the first unit arrival they found a fully involved passenger vehicle off the roadway with no exposure problems. Crews immediately went to work extinguishing the fire and performing overhaul on the vehicle.

With the assistance of METRO 911 and crews on scene they were able determine this vehicle was recently reported stolen from the Charleston area. Charleston Police Department and Kanawha County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene to complete their investigation.

No injuries were reported and all units were returned safely.
