Structure Fire - Rutledge Rd

On 10/5/2014 at 15:48 Pinch Fire Department along with Malden Fire Department were alerted for a reported structure fire in the 1700 block of Rutledge Rd. Within minutes Engine 21 arrived on scene to find a 2-story single family residential structure with smoking showing from the exterior. Crews immediately went to work containing the fire to an upstairs bedroom. The fire was quickly extinguished and overhaul was performed with no extension noted. Minimal water and smoke damaged was noted throughout the residence.

The structure was occupied at the time that the fire was alerted, however all occupants were able to exit the residence without injury. No other injuries were reported throughout the incident. The fire remains under investigation at this time to determine cause.
