By CAPTAIN Jonathan Coleman
May 22, 2015

During the week of May 17th – 23rd Pinch VFD is celebrating National EMS Week 2015. During this time Pinch VFD would like to take a moment to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to all of those who serve their communities in an EMS role. While Pinch VFD does not provide ambulance services nor patient transportation, we do have over a dozen ‘first-responders’ who voluntarily answer EMS alarms day and night throughout our communities. National EMS Week has been observed annually since it was first declared by President Gerald Ford in 1974, and this year’s theme is “EMS Strong!”

Pinch VFD would like to recognize and thank our members who are not only firefighters, but serve in EMS professionals as well (EMS careers noted in parentheses):

Chief David Wagoner, Paramedic (Charleston Fire)
Assistant Chief Justin Teel, Paramedic (Charleston Fire/Kanawha County EMS)
Captain Doug Douglas, RN (CAMC – Trauma Services)
Captain Jon Coleman, CCT-Paramedic (Charleston Fire/HealthNet/Kanawha County EMS)
Lieutenant Corey Carr, EMT-Basic (Saint Albans Fire/Kanawha County EMS)
Lieutenant Charlie Cunningham, Paramedic (Kanawha County EMS)
Lieutenant Tad Douglas, EMT-Basic
Lieutenant Duane Legg, EMT-Basic (Putnam County EMS)
Chaplain Mike Miller, Paramedic
Firefighter Chris Avis, EMT-Basic
Firefighter Teri Beasley, EMT-Basic
Firefighter Cody Carr, EMT-Basic

Firefighter Todd Crowder, EMT-Basic

Firefighter Brad Richardson, CCT Paramedic (Cabell County EMS/HealthTeam)
Firefighter Phil Shaffer, EMT-Basic (Charleston Fire)

We would also like to recognize those EMS agencies with which we interact with on a regular and sometimes daily basis:
