At 05:57 hrs. Pinch VFD was alerted to a reported structure fire on Elm St near Terumi Ln. Units responded quickly to find a 2 story residence with fire on the downstairs confined to the living area. Crews were quickly able to extinguish the fire with minimal water and smoke damage to the residence. No one was reported to be home at the time of the blaze and no injuries were reported throughout the incident. State Fire Marshal's Office and Kanawha County Sheriff's Office were contacted to investigate the fire due to suspicious activity. The fire remains under investigation.
