Vehicle Fire Halts Traffic

on Wednesday 01/27 at 1319 hrs. Pinch Fire Department was alerted to a reported vehicle fire at the southbound entrance ramp of I-79 at Elkview. Within minutes Engine 22 responded with a crew of 5 shortly followed by Squad 2 staffed with 2. Engine 22 arrived on scene to find a Ford F-150 fully involved with fire. Crews immediately went to extinguishing the fire and performing overhaul.

Traffic remained shut down until crews could have the vehicle removed from the roadway and restock equipment.
