Firefighter's Rescue Puppy

On 2/21 at 0340 hrs. Pinch Fire was alerted to the Rutledge area for an assistance call. METRO 911 notified that a small puppy had got stuck in the duct work of a residence and homeowners needed assistance. Rescue 2 and Utility 25 responded to the scene. When crews arrived on scene homeowners advised a 3 week old pit bull breed puppy had got into the duct work. It took crews approx. 30 minutes to locate the puppy was and required some minor hand tools to remove safely.


No injuries reported throughout the incident and the puppy was returned safely to the owners.
