We had a really scary night and had to call 911. Pinch vol fire dept was on scene within less than 15 mins and helped us save our house from catching on fire. Thank you to the men who came out, were dedicated to saving our house, and kept us informed the whole time. We can’t overstate how thankful we are. God bless you all

Would like to thank the Pinch Vol. Fire Department for allowing your Stuphen Engine to come to Clay County this past weekend and allow the class to operate the apparatus. The class was a great success and your members and apparatus assisted in making the class a good one. The The Engine is a beautiful piece. Thanks Again

My grandfather Edward Mace was the first fire chief of the pinch fire department. I was so excited to see the archives of the past articles of him and the accomplishments that has been made through the years. Thank you for continuing to make his and many others dream a reality for the community of Pinch and Kanawha County. You do a great job!

It's wonderful to see the fire department has grown since it's beginning. My dad Harry Willard, was the second chief. I know he would be very proud of your growth and dedication to the Pinch community.
Looking forward to showing up Saturday with couple brothers from Hurricane Fire & Rescue to shoot the fireworks. Hoping this helps to pack the crowd in for your annual Fire Prevention Fair.

Just a short note to wish you my annual "Merry Christmas & Happy New Years" _ I would also like to say thank you for your "super" great response time. You all work so hard on and off the job to keep our station up and running.
I have notice all the new and advanced equipment you are now using. As a firefighter I know it takes a lot of money and training to bring this all together to better save lives and property.
May, GOD's speed be with you all.. Thank you for you service..!!!!
Grew up on Dutch Ridge and just wanted to thank you for watching out for my friends and family still down your way.

Recently, the Pinch Fire Dept., along with others, responded to a vehicle fire on Brooke Hill drive, just above the Capital Flee Market. It is my understanding that the larger trucks from the airport and others could not navigate the sharp turn and had to back all the way down the road. Thanks to Pinch for responding with a smaller truck to put the fire out. If it had been a house fire we are really concerned that a truck could not respond in time. I have tried several times with no luck to get the state to widen the curve to allow access for equipment trailers and dump trucks and of course FIRE trucks. Most of the time, the response is, that there is no money or there are more important jobs to due. I have talked to Kevin Cole at the state highway division but his hands are tied. Is there any way given the recent events that you could help me talk to the state and get some help widening the curve. I have done all the leg work and talked to the land owner for permission to dig the corner out and even have a place to dump all the material at the end of the road. the trucks would only have to go a 1/2 mile to dump and I think the job would take no more than a day or two to finish. Thank you
