By LIEUTENANT Bob Jeffries
February 5, 2010

As part of PVFD's Thursday night drills, we hosted Kanawha County's Fire Coordinator, C.W. Sigmon. C.W. presented a coordinated plan that has been put thogethe by several organizations such as the Kanawha County Commission, Kanawha-Putnam Emergency Planning Cmte., Red Cross, Fema and AARP to name a few. The focus of the Kan-Plan is to provide better communication from first responding agencies to the public in times of emergency or disaster and how to identify the needs of the community in such times. It is the goal of PVFD to provide the best emergency service to our community through education and training.
