Following this evenings Board of Directors Meeting Chief Thaxton announced the promotion of Captain Corey Carr to fill the vacant Assistant Chief slot at our Big Chimney Station. Assistant Chief Carr has been with the department since 2011 and has served as a firefighter, lieutenant, and most recently as a captain and training officer. Assistant Chief Carr works for the City of Charleston as a Firefighter/ACT as well as being an instructor for WV Public Safety Training. Congratulations on your promotion sir!
