At our monthly Board of Directors Meeting three "new" members were welcomed to the department by the Board of Directors and Chief John Thaxton. Mike Bohan is returning to the department as a Probationary Firefighter, and has years of prior experience with Pinch VFD, where he served as Rescue Lieutenant. Mike is fully trained and ready to answer alarms, he also has experience as a Flight Paramedic, Flight Nurse, and is currently an RN for CAMC. His daughter Maddie Bohan also joined the department as a Junior Firefighter, and will be completing a Hybrid Firefighter Level 1 (combination of online education and hand-on skills taught by our certified instructors). Finally, Jamie Neal is returning to the department as a Probationary Firefighter, and has years of prior experience with Pinch VFD as well as Tyler Mountain VFD where he served as a firefighter. Jamie is fully trained and ready to answer alarms. Welcome aboard, we are excited to have you!
